Amazon
and
The Invention of the Future

Monday February 12, 2018 - 7:30 pm
Maison des Polytechniciens

Looking beyond its sales figures ($100 billion +), its stock price (up more that 300% in the past 5 years), Amazon is constantly evolving, expanding and re-inventing itself.

Unlike Apple, Google and Microsoft, Amazon is not fixated on a tightly designed ecosystem of interlocking apps and services.  It emphasizes platforms that each serves its own customers in the best and fastest possible way.

Three initiates drive Amazon today: Prime, the membership program, an incursion into the physical world with real stores, and a constant rethinking of its logistics.  Image recognition algorithms that sort out items, driverless cars, robots, planes, cargo trailers, (soon) delivery drones keep cutting delivery time.

Indeed, what the US tech and retail giant is selling most of all is time.  Perhaps what business in our modern era is all about.

Join us to learn more about what makes Amazon the World's Most Remarkable Firm, the World Leading Provider of Cloud Computing and the Most Innovative Company of 2017
